Duarte d´Araújo Mata is a landscape Architect since 2000, he worked for years on several landscape plans and as project designer.
At the Municipality of Lisboa in the last decade, he´s directly related with public policy for green infrastructure including NBS (nature based solutions) for climate adaptation and ecosystem services.
In addition to his role as head of cabinet of the Deputy Mayor for Environment, Green Infrastructure, Climate and Energy since 2015, Duarte deals with climate targets for the municipality and in this capacity deals with European projects such as the European Green Capital, as well as with recently approved LIFE LUNGS for climate adaptation in green infrastructure and also the H2020 CONEXUS for NBS, among others.
