Research support officer

University of Malta

Antoine Gatt

Antoine Gatt believes that if cities embraced nature the quality of life would be much better. He has become a landscape architect for this reason as he believes that through his profession his contribution can be effective. He has been researching on green roofs in Malta and work towards the dissemination of this technology. He also advocates other types of green infrastructure.  Currently, he is researching green roofs for his doctoral studies and is working on testing different GI systems in the local context.

He looks forward to working on a project on green walls and street trees and to push towards the introduction of street trees in our towns and villages.  Thinking about the possibility of having greener urban areas is his driving force and his priority at uni is to make architecture students appreciate and understand the important of GI and nature.
